Role Summary & Impact

We are seeking a highly skilled Electromechanical Design Engineer to lead mechanical enclosure design, thermal simulation, and structural integrity modeling for bespoke lithium-ion battery packs and custom BMS integration. You will work directly on high-reliability battery systems deployed in extreme marine environments, autonomous warehouse robotics, and grid-tied energy storage units.

Key Technical Responsibilities

  • Design robust mechanical enclosures for lithium-ion battery modules (IP67/IP68 sealed ratings).
  • Conduct thermal modeling, structural finite element analysis (FEA), and shock/vibration testing compliance.
  • Select and integrate high-current busbars, thermal interface materials, and high-voltage isolation barriers.
  • Collaborate directly with BMS electronics hardware engineers for optimal component layout and space efficiency.
  • Generate comprehensive manufacturing documentation, 3D CAD models, and Bill of Materials (BOM) under ISO9001:2015 framework.
  • Engage directly with global OEM technical teams to evaluate requirement specifications and deliver tailored solutions.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent industrial experience).
  • Demonstrated track record in designing electromechanical assemblies or energy storage hardware.
  • Proficiency with modern 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or equivalent CAD suites).
  • Understanding of lithium-ion cell chemistries (LFP, NMC, LTO) safety protocols and thermal management principles.
  • Knowledge of UN38.3 transport testing and IEC/UL battery safety standards.
